Integrated evaluation of prevalent childhood diseases

Abstract

The objective of this work is to define the most frequent diseases in the childhood of the boys and girls of the Colonia la Presita 1 of the municipality of San Miguel, for this the methodology of descriptive scope and with a quantitative approach was used, in which they participated 32 children between the ages of 0-9 years. This work considers the elementary ethical principles, highlighting the prior informed consent of the parents of each of the children, respecting the right of confidentiality. The main results show that, when carrying out the psychomotor evaluation through the simplified scale (allows the evaluation of the development of girls and boys), all of them are adequately carrying out the activities that are relevant according to their age; Three of these 32 boys and girls showed delayed growth, accompanied by a process of malnutrition. Among the most frequent pathologies in this population suffered in recent years, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases can be mentioned. Providing children with opportunities for adequate development is the most important legacy that can be offered to humanity. Full child development, mainly during the first years of life, will lay the foundations for the formation of a subject with all his or her potential and with development possibilities.
