Abstract

The Historic Centers of cities originate the planning of the urban area, which relates various aspects: architectural, cultural, tourist, and social. These aspects being; the main characteristics to take into account for the comprehensive development of municipalities. Tourism offers new opportunities for the development of cities, maintaining architectural heritage is a factor of both municipal and state relevance and through tourism the value of historical heritage becomes an architectural and cultural attraction. This gave rise to the maintenance of national monuments of the
Historical Centers, in order to execute projects in harmony with their colonial architecture.

The City of San Miguel has a Colonial-style Historical Center, which has been gradually occupied by formal and informal vendors. Parque Barrios is an example of how people's need to survive has taken over spaces considered cultural heritage, converting it In the market, it is necessary to recover these assets without violating the rights and dignity of the people who work in these spaces, and for this it is important to carry out a study of the needs of this population so that a proposed relocation to a new location can be made. municipal market that complies with the
necessary conditions and subsequently a recovery, restoration of Barrios Park through placemaking, improving the urban image of the city, by recovering these spaces a new environment of safety, cleanliness will be generated in the city and turning San Miguel into an attractive place for the generation of national and foreign investments.
