Reuse of cigarette butts to produce prefabricated materials for the construction of civil works

Abstract

The research focuses on evaluating the feasibility of using cigarette butts as a component in the manufacture of various construction materials. An exhaustive analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting material was carried out, comparing them with the properties of conventional construction materials. In addition, the environmental impact of incorporating cigarette butts into production processes was examined and their economic viability will be evaluated. The objective is to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the management of cigarette butt waste and promote a circular economy in the construction industry. This research is expected to encourage sustainable construction practices and reduce environmental impact in the construction industry.
